There will be no confessions or Holy Hour on Wednesday evening, April 12.
There will be no confessions during the solemn liturgies on Palm Sunday, April 9; Maundy Thursday, April 13; Good Friday, April 14; Holy Saturday (Easter Vigil), April 15; and Easter Sunday, April 16, as both priests will be at the altar.
Once a year, on the vigil of the Epiphany, Holy Mother Church blesses Holy Water in a most solemn ceremony. Among all the blessings for water found in the Roman Ritual (and there are indeed many), there is none more powerful and efficacious than the blessing of the Epiphany Water, which took place at Holy Family Parish in Vancouver on Thursday evening, January 5. Since this water can be made only once a year, please take advantage of this most powerful sacramental. Be mindful of others, however, and don’t take more than you need for the year.
The Annual General Meeting of the Vancouver Traditional Mass Society was held at Holy Family Church, which is a personal parish of the FSSP, exclusively celebrating the Mass of the Ages. The AGM was held on 12th Nov and it went off without a hitch. The guest speaker this year was the ever prolific author, scholar and professor Dr. Peter A. Kwasniewski, Wyoming Catholic College. It is our great pleasure to be able to bring you his complete talk:
